The Website Payment App is designed for situations where you need to send a generic payment link rather than a specific payment request. This is particularly useful when payment amounts vary, when clients need to choose their own payment details, or when you want to provide maximum flexibility in how clients pay.
To access the Website Payment App:
Select "Apps" from the agentOS dashboard. The Website Payment App will display as one of your available payment applications alongside the standard Payment App and any other apps you have enabled.
What clients can do with the Website Payment App:
When clients receive a Website Payment App link, they can:
- Specify their own payment amount
- Enter custom reference details
- Choose their preferred payment method (open banking or card payment)
This makes the Website Payment App ideal for situations where payment amounts vary or where clients need flexibility in how they pay.
How the payment process works:
- You generate and send a generic payment link to your client
- The client opens the link and sees a welcome screen
- They enter their full name and email address
- They specify the payment amount and add any reference details
- They select their payment method:
- Easy bank transfer (recommended): They select their bank from a list of supported UK banks and complete the payment through their mobile banking app
- Pay by card: They enter their debit or credit card details
- Payment is processed and paid into your linked client account
All payments made via mobile banking app or card payment through the Website Payment App are paid directly into your linked client account.
Fees for Website Payment App:
- Single payment request via open banking: £0.35
- Debit card payments: £0.10 + 1.25%
- Credit card payments: £0.10 + 1.85%
Finding your unique payment link:
You can find the unique payment link for each bank account in your Bank Account details, under the "Payment App Link" section.
