What is a periodic tenancy in agentOS?

A periodic tenancy in agentOS is a signed tenancy with no end date that has passed its fixed date. The system automatically renames it from 'Signed Tenancy' to 'Periodic Tenancy' so it can be clearly identified. If a tenancy is due to become periodic, you can remove its end date in advance using the Clear End Date action.

How a tenancy becomes periodic

Any signed tenancy with no end date will automatically become a Periodic Tenancy once its fixed date has passed. When this happens, the tenancy name updates from 'Signed Tenancy' to 'Periodic Tenancy', making it easy to identify at a glance within the system.

If a tenancy has an end date but will become periodic

If a tenancy currently has a future end date recorded, but it has since been agreed that the tenancy will continue on a rolling basis beyond the fixed term, you can remove the end date in advance. This allows agentOS to automatically migrate the tenancy to the correct periodic status when the time comes.

To remove the end date from a signed tenancy, navigate to the tenancy via the property record, then go to Actions in the top right corner and select Clear End Date.

⚠️ If the Clear End Date option is not visible, this may be due to your access level or because the tenancy has already passed the point at which the end date can be removed. In either case, contact support@agentos.com or an Owner-access user within your organisation for assistance.
