What types of ID can be accepted for landlords during the ID&V process?
Accepted documents for landlord ID&V, plus alternatives if standard ID isn't available
Important: The ID&V link only accepts the primary identity documents listed below. If your landlord is using a fallback document (birth certificate + proof of address), these must be emailed to us at support@calmony.co and can't be uploaded via the ID&V link.
Primary identity documents
To complete ID&V, your landlord will need one of the following:
- Valid Passport
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- Valid EU Driving Licence
- EEA Member State ID card
- EU Residency Card
- Northern Ireland Electoral Card
- Military ID Card
If your landlord does not have any of the above
Griffin can accept the following instead:
- Birth certificate, and
- Two proof of address documents (e.g. mortgage statement, council tax bill, bank statement)
These documents cannot be verified through the normal ID&V link. Please email them to support@calmony.co and we will forward these documents to Griffin on your behalf.
