OFSI monitoring Sanctions Checks for Buyers and Vendors.

Overview on when buyers and vendors are automatically checked with OFSI and for how long it lasts.

Overview

We have updated how OFSI (Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation) sanctions checks work for sales transactions in agentOS. These changes ensure your agency maintains compliance throughout the entire sales process, from offer acceptance through to completion and beyond.

What's Changed?

Automatic Monitoring Tied to the Offer Process

OFSI checks for buyers and vendors are now directly linked to the offer workflow:

  • When an offer is accepted – Sanctions checking automatically begins for both the buyer and vendor
  • If a sale falls through or is cancelled – Monitoring automatically stops
  • After completion – Checks continue for 30 days after the property is marked as sold

This means you no longer need to manually trigger checks or remember to stop them when transactions don't proceed.

Why 30 Days Post-Completion?

The 30-day monitoring period after sale completion ensures you remain compliant during the critical post-transaction window. Sanctions lists can be updated at any time, and maintaining monitoring during this period protects your agency from inadvertently processing funds for newly sanctioned individuals.
