Quick guide to completing Calmony Verify when things aren’t working.

What is Calmony Verify?

A quick ID check we need before releasing payments. You photograph your ID (passport or driving licence) and take a selfie. Takes under 5 minutes and only needs doing once.

Getting an "Upload Failed" Error?

This is almost always the device or browser, not your account. Try these first:

  1. Allow camera access when your browser asks
  2. Switch to Google Chrome if you’re using a different browser
  3. Try a different device such as a tablet, laptop, or newer phone
  4. Try a different ID such as passport instead of driving licence (holograms can cause issues)

Need Extra Help?

If the quick fixes above haven’t worked, here are more options:

Ask a Family Member or Carer

A helper can operate the device for you. They can use your device or you can forward the verification email and use theirs. The link works on any device.

The selfie and ID must be yours. Your helper can hold the phone and tap the buttons, but the photos need to be of you.

 

Ask Your Letting Agent

Your letting agent can help you complete the verification in person, either at their office or at your home, using their own device. Just bring your ID. This is often the fastest option and takes under 5 minutes.

 

For Letting Agents

When a client is struggling with verification:

  1. Suggest a family member helps early before frustration builds
  2. Offer to help in person using your device. Open the Veriff link, photograph their ID, help with the selfie, and submit
  3. Forward the link freely as it’s not locked to one device
  4. Contact us after two failed attempts rather than waiting. Email support@calmony.co and we will check with Gaz to see if there's any technical problems.
