How do I use universal bank upload templates?
If your bank does not support Open Banking, agentOS supports three universal flexible template formats for manual bank statement uploads. Match your bank's CSV export to the closest template, adjust the columns, and upload as normal.
For clients whose banks do not offer API connections for Open Banking, agentOS provides universal bank upload templates. Rather than being restricted to a fixed template set by your bank — which banks can change at any time without warning — three universal flexible template formats are available to use instead.
How the process works
Your existing process for extracting a CSV from your online banking portal remains the same. What changes is how you format that file before uploading it to agentOS.
Step by step
- Download your CSV from your online banking portal as normal
- Open the file and compare it against the three example template files attached to this article
- Identify which of the three templates most closely matches your bank's export format
- Remove any excess columns from your bank's CSV export so that it matches the example template you have identified
- Save the amended file — or alternatively, copy and paste your data into the example file itself, overwriting the placeholder content, and save it with a clear name so you can find it easily
- Contact agentOS support to confirm which of the three universal template formats you are using — they will update your settings to reflect this
- Once your settings are updated, you simply need to repeat the same column adjustments to your export each time you upload going forward
