How do I set up two-factor authentication for making payments in Calmony?

Payment 2FA is set up separately from login 2FA. Scan a second QR code with your authenticator app when prompted after completing your login authentication setup.

Calmony requires a separate two-factor authentication (2FA) code specifically for authorising payments. This is set up after your login 2FA and provides an additional layer of security to ensure that only you can approve payments from your account.

When to set it up

After completing your login 2FA setup during your first account access, you will be prompted to configure payment authentication. The process is guided and follows immediately after the login 2FA setup.

Setup process

The process is similar to setting up login 2FA. A QR code will be displayed on screen. Scan this with the same authenticator app you used for login authentication. Your app will then generate a separate set of codes exclusively for payment authorisation. These codes are distinct from your login codes — using the wrong code will cause authentication to fail.

Important: You will need access to your authenticator app every time you make or authorise a payment. Keep your device secure and accessible. If you lose access to your authenticator app, see "Calmony password lockouts and resets" for information on the recovery process.
