How do I set up Branded Emails in agentOS?

Complete our Branded Emails Setup form, and you'll receive detailed technical instructions to share with your IT team for implementing the necessary DNS changes.

Setting up Branded Emails in agentOS requires coordination between you and your IT team or domain host for technical implementation.

Step 1: Complete the Setup form

Fill out our Branded Emails Setup form with your business details and preferred email configuration:

  • Send & Receive: Routes all emails through agentOS with full conversation history
  • Send Only: Branded sending with replies going to your existing email system

If you're unsure which option suits your business needs, consult with your IT administrator before submitting the form.

Step 2: Receive technical instructions

Once you've submitted the form, detailed instructions will be sent to you outlining exactly what changes need to be made to your domain based on your chosen option.

Step 3: Share instructions with your IT team

Provide the technical instructions to your IT administrator or domain host. The changes required are:

Send & Receive:

  • MX Record update (routes incoming emails to agentOS)
  • TXT Record addition (verifies sending capability with Amazon SES)

Send Only:

  • TXT Record addition only

Your IT team maintains full control of your domain throughout this process. agentOS does not host your domain or require access to your domain management account.

Step 4: Work with our team

Our team will verify the technical changes and ensure everything is working correctly before going live.

Important considerations:

DNS propagation time: DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate fully, though most complete within a few hours. Plan accordingly.

Keep existing systems running: Don't disable your current email system until the new setup is confirmed working and fully tested.

Separate domain option: If you already have a domain set up for business use, consider using a different domain for agentOS to prevent conflicts with your existing infrastructure.

Maintaining changes: The DNS record changes must remain in place for continued email functionality. Ensure your IT team understands these changes are permanent requirements.

Consult technical support: If you're unfamiliar with DNS records and domain management, consult your domain host's support knowledge base or speak with your IT administrator before proceeding.

Who to contact:

Our team will respond with next steps and answer any questions about your specific setup requirements.
