How do I reverse a maintenance deduction in agentOS?

To cancel a maintenance deduction that has already been processed, use the Maintenance Deduction Refund option on the landlord's record. This allows you to select the specific deduction to reverse and process the refund back to the landlord's account.

If you have processed a maintenance deduction in error, or need to cancel one for any other reason, you can reverse it using the Maintenance Deduction Refund function on the landlord's record.

Steps to reverse a maintenance deduction

  1. Search for the landlord by name using the search bar, or navigate to them via Lettings > Landlords.
  2. Open the landlord's record.
  3. Click the Actions button.
  4. Select Maintenance Deduction Refund.
  5. In the Deduction Between field, select an appropriate date range (e.g. 1–3 Years) to display the relevant deductions.
  6. On the next screen, you will see a list of maintenance deductions for that landlord within the selected period.
  7. Select the deduction you wish to reverse.
  8. Click Maintenance Deduction Refund to process the reversal.

The funds will be returned to the landlord's account.

Note: Take care to select only the deduction you intend to reverse. If you are unsure which entry to select, check the date and amount against the original transaction before confirming.
