How do I retire a certificate in agentOS?

When a certificate has expired, mark it as Retired via the Actions menu in the Certificates section on the property record. This keeps the expired certificate on the system for your records and allows you to add a new valid one in its place.

Certificates should be retired rather than deleted when they expire. Retiring a certificate keeps the historical record on the system while making clear that it is no longer valid, and allows you to add a new certificate of the same type.

Steps to retire a certificate

  1. Search for the property by address using the search bar, or navigate to it directly.
  2. Open the property record.
  3. In the left-hand ladder, click Certificates.
  4. Find the certificate you wish to retire in the list.
  5. Click the Actions button next to that certificate.
  6. Select Retire.

The certificate will remain visible in the Certificates section but will be marked as retired. You can then add a new, valid certificate of the same type by clicking Add Certificate.

Note: Retired certificates are included in the Certificates list by default so you have a full history. If you wish to view only active certificates, use the Show Retired filter at the top of the certificates grid to toggle retired records on or off.
