How do I convert a sales contact into an applicant buyer in agentOS?
A sales contact (enquiry) can be converted into an applicant buyer using the Actions menu on the contact's record, via Sales > Contacts. Once converted, the buyer opens in their own profile where you can add property requirements and send matching properties.
Converting the Contact
- Click Sales in the top navigation bar
- Click Contacts
- Search for the relevant contact by name or find them in the list
- Open their record
- Click Actions in the top right-hand corner
- Select Convert to Applicant Buyer from the Sales section of the menu
The contact will be converted and their buyer profile will open automatically.
Adding Property Requirements
To record what the buyer is looking for, click Edit in the top right-hand corner of the buyer profile. You will see the following tabs:
- Personal Details
- Property Requirements — enter the buyer's search criteria, such as location preferences, number of bedrooms, budget, and property type
- AML and Finance
- Bank Details
- Notes
- CRM
Complete the relevant tabs and save the record.
Sending Property Details to the Buyer
Once property requirements have been saved, you can use the Actions menu on the buyer's profile to send them relevant properties. The available options include:
- Email Property Details — sends details of matching properties by email
- Email Investment Details — for investment properties
- Post Brochures — sends property brochures by post
- Send SMS Property Details — sends property details by SMS
- Record Property Phone Call — logs a call about a property
- Make an Offer — records an offer on behalf of the buyer
- Create as Vendor — converts the buyer into a vendor record
