How do I complete my Calmony verification as a payee?

Complete your verification by accurately filling in your details form and uploading valid ID when requested—this ensures your letting agent can make payments to you through their Griffin Bank client account.

Your company uses Calmony for their client account, whose accounts are provided by Griffin Bank Ltd. All UK banks offering client accounts require verification of all payees under new banking regulations. This verification is required under UK government Financial Sanctions regulations.

The Verification Process:

Step 1: You'll receive an email You'll receive an email with a link to the missing details form that briefly explains why you need to complete this verification.

Step 2: Complete all required information accurately

When filling in the form, you must provide:

  • Personal details exactly as they appear on your ID
  • Your residential address (where you live, not business addresses or rental properties you own)
  • Employment status and occupation
  • For property owners: Average monthly rental income and number of properties the agent manages for you (not the total amount you own, just what the agent manages for you)
  • Proof of address document: Upload a utility bill, council tax letter, or bank statement dated within 3 months
  • Tax reference numbers (if available)

Step 3: Submission and review

Once you submit your information:

  • Your information goes to Griffin Bank for review
  • Griffin Bank will send you a Griffin Verify check
  • You must complete this verification using valid ID (not expired)
  • Most verifications are completed within a few working days

Step 4: ID verification

Please ensure:

  • The person whose details were submitted on the form is the one who completes the Verify check
  • You use a form of valid ID (not expired)

Once Submitted:

After you've completed the verification:

  • Your information goes to Griffin Bank for review
  • They will send you a Griffin Verify check link
  • Please ensure the person whose details were submitted on the form is the one who has to complete the Verify check

Important Notes:

  • All information must be accurate and match your identification documents
  • The verification must be completed by you—the actual payee
  • Links typically expire after 7 days
