How do I add notes to a person or property record in agentOS?
You can add notes to any person or property record in agentOS in two ways: via the Notes section in the left-hand panel for a permanent record, or via the sticky note for a quick temporary note.
agentOS automatically creates notes when certain actions are performed — for example, when keys are checked out or a maintenance job is added. You can also add your own notes to any person or property on the system.
There are two ways to do this, depending on whether you need a permanent record or a quick temporary note.
Option 1: Notes (permanent record)
This is the recommended option for notes you want to retain as a lasting record against the profile.
- Use the quick search bar to find the relevant person by name or property by address, and open their record.
- In the left-hand panel, click Notes (on a person record) or Property Notes (on a property record).
- Enter your note in the free text box and click Add to save.
Notes added this way are stored permanently against the record and can be reviewed at any time.
Option 2: Sticky Note (temporary)
The sticky note is useful for quick, short-term reminders. It appears prominently on the record but should be treated as temporary — it can be overwritten at any time, so it is not suitable for information you need to retain long-term.
To add a sticky note, open the relevant record and click the sticky note option. Enter your text and save. Bear in mind that if another user writes a new sticky note on the same record, it will replace the existing one.
