Can I apply for a Calmony account on my client's behalf?
Can a block management agent or letting agent apply for an account for their client and then have access?
Yes. Your client will need to complete the application form and pass all the AML checks. Once approved, they'll remain the account holder and can grant you, the agent, full access to the account.
Why it works this way
The client must always be the account holder - an agent cannot apply for or open a Calmony account in their own name on a client's behalf. The client (e.g. the landlord) has to complete the application and pass ID&V/AML checks themselves, as they're the legal party the account belongs to.
Once the client's account is approved, they can grant the agent full operational access - viewing balances, processing payments, and managing the account - without the agent ever being the account holder. This keeps account ownership and compliance with the client, while giving the agent the day-to-day access they need to manage it.
